BSc Zoology (Bachelor of Science in Zoology) curriculum covers the form, function, and behavior of animals and elucidates general biological principles through the study of specialized or experimentally tractable systems. Zoology or Animal Biology is the branch of biology which pertains to the living as well as extinct animals and their interaction with their ecosystems. Zoology is the study and investigation of animal life, from whole animals and generations through tissues to their cells and molecular structures. They also cover the sciences which underpin zoology including biochemistry, genetics, and statistics.
In Zoology students study various animals, both in their natural habitats and in captivity in zoos and aquariums. They may specialize in studying a particular animal or animal group. Efforts of a zoologist are also critical in protecting endangered species and other wildlife from habitat loss, disease, invasive species, and climate change.
